I hate temp living arrangements :p

So I'm over at my Uncle's for a week because my gmom (who I live with) is going to stay at the hospital she works at for a week so she doesn't have to worry about getting in and out in the snow. Over Christmas we got stuck at my uncles and my fish ended up being fine but their water was getting to like 55 degrees since they were in a closed room with no heat but their heater.

So I decided to bring them with me this time. I have them each in a one gallon tank. I only have 2 heaters so I have to monitor the heat of the heaterless one but the room stays around 68. But one fish living in 68 is better than all three of them living at 55. I didn't use any gravel in these tanks but I do have a fake plant or two in each tank with a marimo ball.

I just hate having them in these arrangements even though it'll only be for a week.

Anyone else do this?

Also how often should I change the water?

In a one gallon, I'd do 100% every other day, but some people do 1-50% and 1-100% a week. :)

I really don't want to do 100% so do you think I could do 50% once a day?

If people can manage to keep bettas in 1/2 gallon betta kits with once weekly water changes and have the Betta live for a couple of months or a year, then I'm sure yours could get by with daily 50% water changes in a 1 gallon.

You might be able to get away with changing the water 100% twice a week if you cut down on how much you feed them.
