okies ... tanks all set up ... have 4 bettas... 2 male 2 female ... how do u determine what m & f are compatible ... the males seem keen either way ... females not so much ...

one female is flaring at the male and seems to be SUPER aggressive towards him ... but no bubble nest ... how long till the male starts making the bubble nest after being placed in the same tank as female (f in seperate tank)

Sounds like your first spawn attempt.......have some questions...so we can help you out better....

What size are your spawning tanks and what method are you going to be using, need details on your setup...as detailed as possible....

How long have you had the breeders and how conditioned-what foods and for how long...how do you have your breeders housed right now?

What cultures do you have growing for the fry and housing plans for them?

Pic of your spawning tanks and breeders would be helpful too...

Just upload the pics to a site like imageshack or flickr and copy the image location into the little image sign you see above where you post.

20 liters sounds okay, although 40 would be better. Also you will need a growout tank, should be around at least 80 liters or more.
