Sorry to post so much... I talk alot....

But I'm adding more plants. I wish I haden't thrown away that foxtail...

I'm going to make a huge bunch of Anarchis and put it behind the Anarchis. Then I'll put a bunch of foxtail (Note, by bunch I mean a bundle or group of stems, not alot) in front of each bunch of foxtail. Then I'll add one of the terra pot-textured and colored ornaments sold at my LFS... they selll lots of them in different designs, it looks like carved terra pots kind of except the shapes would be impossible to make.

So my tank isn't done yet. I'm adding more plants (As soon as the bunched plants feel like adjusting and growing fast...) And more pics once that happens. Tere'll be more hiding places, and if I do a sorority it will be much better.

Wow that looks great! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you spend?
Is that website good? I'm looking into getting small live plants for a 5 gal tank

I spent $40 (Including the plant supplies) Just the plants cost me roughly $30.

your only options are:
  • One betta
  • One betta + a few shrimp
  • One betta + snail

A 5 gal is not big enough for any other fish.

Lol.

I like it heavily planted... my tank will soon have an anarchis forest I'm going to create once the plants adjust (=

Let's see... I'd put in 2 tropica sword, 2 java fern, some anarchis (You need it, it's the best ammonia-destroying plant) And marimo balls. MAYBE, if there was any more room left, some type of anubias. I like easy to care for plants Lol.

BTW everyone... sorority is back on.

EDIT: I just looked at the pic and it's shocking how much that anarchis has grown...

Lol. Sorority or community your tank looks great either way Baylee. I am going to have to go shopping for some new plants now as the purple waffle I was sold as an underwater plant is already dying off and starting to rot. I am learning to never listen to the girls in the shops and to run all ideas by the forum members. Works out much cheaper having someone with a bit of experience giving you some good advice. Speaking of advice can anyone tell me if my ceramic noodles need changing and if so how often?

The one dilemma is that Neon needs to be in a cycled tank in March (No water changes for 3 weeks!) But if I try hard enough I might get enough money to buy a 5 gal soon so I can start cycling a tank for him when we're gone.

But would a sorority even work in this tank? I mean it has a lot of plants, but is that enough hiding places? I'm thinking if I do a sorority 5 or 6 females. Would they jump out? 0.0 Okay now I REALLY want a sorority again.
*Whacks you with Tea Kettle*

Then go with the bloody Sorority!
lol your as helpless as me with making up my mind over Loaches or Cories...

*Ponders*
DANGIT NOW I WANT KUHLI LOACHES AGAIN!

*Edit*

Wait... you threw away the Foxtail?
*Whacks you again with kettle*
