Sleeping Betta

i have just come to the conclusion that my Delta male likes to sleep lieing down on his side...i thought he was dead so i swished the water a little, and he jumped right up and swam around...looking at me like i was insane...when i woke up this morning, he was on his side again... until i stood up. Then the fluttered to the top of his tank.

They're like us. lol Some people like to sleep on their backs and others like to sleep on their sides or stomachs.

That's wierd but it's not anything bad. I like to sleep on my stomache and my betta does too. It's safe to say that bettas are like humans in a way.

Mine sleeps on his belly...
Or back.
(Yeah, thats scary x,x) But he doesnt do it often.
Im convinced he "sleep swam" one night, I thought he was blind (so frightened :,c) bumping into everything and disoriented, I know he couldnt see, but the next day he was great XD

I know, sometimes they give me heart attacks with the ways they sleep! I came home once after a short vacation to see that my betta was sleeping with his head in the gravel and his bottom floating a bit crookedly. I thought for sure that he was dead.

Oh, he was fine back then. He just picked a very odd position to sleep in. xD
