Stress stripes?!?!? D:

I've had my female betta fish Clara for...almost a month I think. She still get's what look like stress stripes to me..Quite often?!? But she's in a 4 gallon critter keeper with a heater and I do 100% water changes every 2-3 days. So,I have really no idea why she still has them? She used to have barley nothing as fins but now they are fully grown back and she eats normally. So What can this be? o.O Also she doesnt seem to have any noticable illness.

Thanks,
Kayla

maybe the water changes so frequently are stressing her try to do a partial water change i remember one of my females started geting a horizontal line because i overfed her and she got swim bladder disease so she might be getting sick shine a light and see if she has any white dots she might have ick

Its probably the water changes. My female gets them when I do water changes. luckily my tank is a 10 gal so she gets em only once a week.

Stress is no good thing for a fish. I think you are going overboard with the water changes. I think one 100% WC a week would suffice. Or one 100% and one 50% WC a week at most...

I would probably cut back on the water changes as well. Some fish just get more stressed than others though. My one male almost instantly loses some color the minute I take him out for a water change or something happens other than feeding. My others don't seem to mind much at all.
