Im not sure what Cycle means?
He has been in the 10g for about a week now, i let him aclamte for an hour andhe was fine when i relased him in.

Basically cycling a tank is when you build up colonies of helpful (and essential) bacteria in your tank so the water stays safe. I hate to push the water conditioner since I know I've already pressed it, but It's something you'll really need. Since your fish is already in the tank, you're stuck with a fish-in cycle. *laughs* taking care of fish is way more hard than I ever expected it to be! Worth it in the end, in my opinion =)

Anyway I don't know if cycling is the problem here, but it's certainly something to look in to. I don't see anything wrong other than than that that you're doing, warm water, good food...we may need the help of OFL here, since I'm not a pro.

Ok, i have added Aquasafe Plus to all of my tanks.

Now.
What can i do to get this little guy to relax his fins?

Now you play the waiting game =) if he doesn't unclamp in a few days I'd check for other signs of disease...swollen gills, white spots, lethargy, anything out of the ordinary

ok. i just hate to leave him in that cup with only 2 inches of water.
But its a big cup. :( i hope he gets better.
oh and...he wont eat...

I would add him back to the tank personally, but that's just what I'd do. Try coaxing him to eat with freeze dried bloodworms or soak betta pellets with garlic juice
