Snail Question

hello! I bought a snail from meijers almost 4 months ago. after doing some research, I've figured that it's a golden apple snail. the lady at the store said that it would be fine just eating the fish food flakes. fair enough, but how much food do snails need to eat? I'm never sure if I'm feeding it enough/too much/ etc. does it need to be fed every day? should I make sure I'm pouring in extra flakes when feeding my betta, to make sure the fishie doesn't eat all the food, and some is left for the snail? any other snail advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Dont feed extra food to your Betta for the purpose of feeding your snail as well. The Betta will eat the food anyway which will cause swin bladder....Feed the regular amount and your snail will eat the left overs, if there is any.. Snails also eat frozen shrimp cubs, and algae wafers.. (thats what I feed mine)
Also..You might want to look into feeding your Betta a pellet diet instead of flakes.

oh I feed him pellets and flakes to be honest. I mostly put the flakes in there for the purpose of feeding the snail because I wasn't sure if it would be able to eat the pellets.

My betta picks on my snail. Kinda funny to watch him try to bite the shell :P
