Personally, I don't do divided tanks (too many risks involved, IMO) so you would probably be better off asking somebody else.

I would get a 10 gal. if you're planning on dividing the tank.I recently got a glass 5 gallon tank kit from walmart in store and it was 29.99. I kind of wish I would have spent the 10 dollars more for the 10 gallon now. I was thinking about dividing my 5 gallon but I just think it would be too small,it could probably be done though. My 5 gallon isn't actually 5 gallons of water after adding gravel, plants and decoration. It is more 4- 4.5 right now.
