non aquarium silk plants?

What is the difference of aquarium and non aquarium silk plants? If I bought some pretty silk plants from a craft store would those be safe for my betta tank as long as I washed them well?

you could always stick the craft store plants in a tub of water for a week to make sure they don't leech any colors. maybe a jug of tank water and test the water levels BEFORE the plant goes in (write them down) and then test the water a week later and compare the results with the original?

I use craft store silk plants. Just make sure they have no metal in them.

Cool, thank you! I will definitely make sure they don't have metal and soak them first to make sure they don't leech any colors or anything else.

And maybe watch for fuzzies too! Idk, I looked and wanted to do that too, but I saw fuzzy stuff like the ones that make up the inside of sunflowers, for example, and worried it'd dislodge and come off D:
Pics if/when!!
