tetra delica bloodworms-ALIVE

So I gave my bettas those little packets of gel bloodworms from tetra and there were living worms and mosquito larvae in it!
I've never used them before has anyone ever found living larvae and these tiny thread worms in the product and should I worry?
NOT happy about this. I mean I'm pretty sure the product was packed more than a year ago, and those things r still alive? I'm worried about parasites also being alive in the product!

I would throw it away just to be on the safe side.

Sounds like a tasty treat for your betta. I'm pretty sure some of our members give mosquito larva to their bettas. Not sure about the worms though.
