Talking 10g and 5.5g Tank Setup

I FINALLY have pictures of my new babies and their homes. I would of had them up earlier, but I lost the camera cord and had to use my phone :/, so please forgive the terrible quality.

The one with the aquarium light is the 10g, and the one with the lamp is the 5.5g. I plan to get a light for it like the 10g, or possibly build one.

Here are the pictures, there are a ton sorry lol.

Is this algae stuff good??? It is on the filter baffle:

The last tank doesn't have a hood yet, so I lightly lay tissue paper over it and tape the corners. It diffuses the light from the lamp a bit, not sure if that is bad or good.

I love the 10 gallon tank. Is the wood real or fake?

Yah eny hood is better then no hood at all. If enything it helps him breathe better by keeping the water surface air warm and moist witch I hear is good for there labrenthe.

Your 10 gallon looks AMAZING!!! <3

A solution to the paper would be plastic wrap. It helps hold itself in place, it's clear, it holds in moisture, and it's a bit tougher than paper is. =]

All you need to do is poke holes in it with a fork for ventilation purposes.

If you don't use plastic wrap you might want to reposition your light so that your plants have a chance. =]

I think it might be real, but I am not too sure. I was like 30 dollars.

I think I will try the plastic wrap and move the tank over for better light.

Also thanks for all the compliments!

Turtle10,

"The last tank doesn't have a hood yet, so I lightly lay tissue paper over it and tape the corners. It diffuses the light from the lamp a bit, not sure if that is bad or good."

If the lamp catches the paper on fire... that's bad...
But it will help keep the air above the water warm and moist... which is good...

I like the plastic idea better, as long as the lamp doesn't melt it!

Beautiful tanks and lovely fishies! :D
