Those lines look normal. :)

Yes, those bubblenests mean that he is both happy and sexually mture. You don't have to breed him, though.

thanks for the reply, my girlfriend has 2 female bettas, i was actually thinking about taking one home, preparing her for a couple weeks and possibly breed them, but the only problem is, i odnt know what i would do with all the fry. id only like to keep a couple of them, but i wouldnt know what to do with the rest. haha oh well, too much work right now..
