Lightbulb Office fish-heater q's

Heyla Betta-fish fans-
I am considering plunging face-first back into Betta-fishes. Before getting my hopes up for a new office buddy...I decided to think! I have learned that they cut the power to my office space every night. I work in Seattle, and it can get quite chilly in this old building. It's never warm enough during the day for a fish-friend either, so obviously, I need a heater and a power-overnight plan. I was thinking a battery backup deal, like a UPS, since it can charge all day and discharge at night, but I have no experience with such creatures. :) The main constraint is space.

Words of wisdom?

Hmm I think a battery back-up is your best bet... I have never in my 2 years of fishkeeping heard of a battery-operated heater.
