Just Another Noob.

Looks like this forum has dragged in another noob from the streets. When I was younger I had some bettas but that was long ago when my parents and I assumed that they could live in a fish bowl without a heater. The result was death for the poor beauties. Now that I'm older I understand how to properly take care of a betta from browsing this site as a guest. I don't have a betta yet because we are in the process of moving but after we move I'm going to set up a 2.5 gallon with a heater and filter. I can't forget to add conditioner to my list. After that I'm going to go to Petco to purchase the conditioner and a betta.

Great! Welcome :) that sounds good.. also, I would keep epsom and aquarium salt on hand just incase your fish gets sick. Just keep browsing around here and i'm sure you'll get a lot more of helpful info. Can't wait to see your fish when you get him.. (or her lol)

Aquarium salt sounds like something important. I'll add that to my list along with the conditioner. At the moment I'm looking after my friend's betta because she went on a trip but she should be back soon. I'm having fun testing the new things I learned to keep her betta at the best of health. Her betta has some character and I'll miss taking care of it. I guess it's better to learn from experience.

She came back and retrieved her betta. I'm really going to miss that little guy. He made my mornings happier than I've ever had them. I can't wait to buy my betta though.

Thats sad, I would miss him too. When do you plan on getting your betta?

Sorry if this is offtopic, but how did you get the linking member sign below your picture?

I'm not sure when we're going to finish these house papers. When we finish the papers and finally move I'm going to set up the tank and buy a betta. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it depends on when we can move and how fast we can move. As for the linking member logo...I linked the community with my account.
