8 gal hexagon tank

Are there any recommendations you all could make in terms of decorations, plants, filters, etc... so that I can set this tank up so my fishies will be their happiest?

Did your tank come with a filter? Also could you post a picture of your tank so we can get a better idea of the dimensions.

As far as the filter, I'm not 100% certain, I figured that was the tube hanging down inside was? Even if not, we will get a new one.I don't have the tank yet,am picking it up this weekend, found it on Kijiji.

I have the smaller 5 gal hex and I put a small pot in the bottom plus a live sward along with the betta log it looks ok

Yeah, I have the 5 gal hex, too and will have (fake, for now) plants running along the back and the divider as well as a terracotta pot in each with marbles as a substrate. (Pot's hole is sealed though! ;D)
