I do 50% a week in a filterted 10G that's heavily planted.

I'd highly suggest going with the 50% weekly change and possibly extra ones if the ammonia starts to spike too high. You can never have enough clean water :)

Looks great btw..glad you added a live plant, a few more wouldn't hurt either!!

Thanks, I do plan on adding at least one more live plant (probably another anubias).

For now on day 3 of this water, the ammonia is hovering in between 0 and 0.25. I check it daily, along with nitrites!

Well I got the stuff in, and a new plant also. An Amazon sword. It's a bit small but from my understanding they grow pretty quick!

New tank layout:

I also did the first partial water change today as I had a bunch of stuff to add and figured it would probably just be easier. Ammonia was maybe a hair over 0.25, did the partial and now it's at 0...

So I guess now all I need to do is wait, change, and test...looking forward to getting my betta some friends!

I can't believe that's a 10 gallon though, it looks a lot bigger! But so far everything looks really good, and you've got a gorgeous betta too.

I agree, looks bigger than a 10-gallon. But good job with the theme, it's so cute! And your betta has an awesome name.
