Reptile Deco?

This may be a stupid question to ask but can I use reptile deco instead of fish. I just wanna make sure it is safe. I like the look of these items more than what they offer for fish.

The only trouble with reptile things (my family had everything ranging from annoles to bearded dragons to a savannah monitor ^~^;), is that they are not only sometimes not made for water, and can leech color, but are sometimes not smooth and can be jagged, which will hurt your betta.
If theyre smooth, then Id say go for it. If theyre non-toxic (should be), Id put it in water for a few days and see what it does.
Also, with the caves, check to see that your betta could EASILY get its entire body out, and that they could figure how to get out. Sometimes theyre not the brightest and wont be able to :c

sometimes they aren't made for water. I got a bag of plastic ivy looking plants for reptiles and i opened the bag and it smelled SOOOO strongly of plastic it made me sick so i just threw it away. I figured if it smelled that bad it wouldn't be good in water, no matter how long it sits.

But if it says aquarium safe, then its okay. But most of that stuff is made in mind that it wont be used underwater.

So maybe it would be best to check the items in the store rather than ordering them online. Thanks for the replies!

I think that'd be a really really good idea. If you can find an online check out deal or something (there are a few atm for Petsmart), look at them in store then order online :DDD

I think they'd be okay as long as you soaked them in water for a couple of days to make sure that the color doesn't fade.
