Although they can live in bowls, a filtered, heated, 1 or more gallon tank is much better for Bettas, and easier for you! (less water changes). If you can't afford a tank, make sure to change the water every other day. Nice fish, but his fins look kind of ripped.

nice betta but you got to remove a hand full of those pebbles and add a inch more of water Plus a heater too ;)

I agree! Hehe. I would take out a handful or two of pebbles and add more water. He has definitely improved, colorwise and fin wise from when you got him until now. How long have you had him? He's very pretty.

Ive only had him a week. K Next water change ill take out some rocks and add more water... As for the heater he lives in my husbands office with the turtles and we have to keep that room warm for them.. His water temp when i check this morning was 78-79.

Well we had no choice haha... Turtle's were trying to hibernate. But thats the only room in the house we heat like that... our bill is only 200$ a month. Also he is right above the turtles heating lamp.

He's pretty. If you want to get a larger tank, they have 3 gallon Pet Keepers at Petco for $12.99. Really nice price, and good quality!
