Outdoor Spawn

What do I need for an outdoor spawn? I have already:
5 gallon bucket and an unlimited supply of oak leaves

I want to get it set up so it can start to grow and will be full of mosquito larva by the time its warm enough to start to spawn.

Once the buckets fill with rainwater-add the oak leaves and let it come to temp and fill with life-when the outside low temp is at least 80F at night add the breeders and some floating plants and let nature take it course.....

I usually can't start this until late May early June and hope we get some like using rain water because I don't cover my buckets when it rain and I don't want to risk too much of a pH shock
I place my buckets so that they get some direct sun for at least 4-5 hours and monitor the water temp and after about a month I may need to start adding more larva to the tank...all depending on how many Bettas and fry I have in the bucket...I also will have a bucket in full sun that I grow green water and daphnia in that I use to add to the 5gal bucket for fry food....the buckets usually will have plenty of food for the fry but I still add some green water on occasion......
