Exclamation Feeding with egg yolk until big enough for crushed pellets/flakes

Is it possible to feed betta fry with egg yolk until they are big enough for crushed pellets/flakes?

I talked with a fish breeder and said that this is what he does. He says he doesn't use BBS or microworms, just plain egg yolk. I told him that its unbelievable, but then he showed me his countless fully grown bettas.

I tried doing the same. The spawn is now more than a month old but they are still so micro. I keep the tank clean with constant water change.

I have no choice but to stick with the egg yolk as the BBS i bought never hatch.

What do you guys think about this?

I can't see how that would be enough to sustain growing bettas. Sure you could do it but that doesn't mean they'll grow and develop well.

Agreed. They need a variety.
