I will eventually get him some plants... I just need to get out to get one. I dont drive and Im a busy stay at home mom. The tank is a 2.5g which in the min req. Eventually im going to put him in the turtles old tank which i belive is a 20g or 30g i dont remember. Thats why Im not going to go out and buy one just for him to live in for a few months till we get a bigger on for the turtles.

Ok. If you put him in the turtle's old tank, you could also add some peaceful community fish. Neon Tetra's are a great option, and gorgeous.

I've also read in another thread that Hatchetfish are fun, too. But they need a tight lid since they LOVE to jump. Platies and Mollies are also good choices.

I was thinking about Mollies. I had some when I was a kid and I liked them :)

Lots of people have had great experience keeping mollies with bettas, unfortunately i havent. I had just one, and he chased my betta constantly, by the time i got rid of the mollie my betta was so stressed and sad that he died :( just be aware that it might not work out so always have a backup plan :)

I've always heard to keep mollies in groups. The males especially get frisky.
