Cories

I am looking to buy peppered cory cats at my local pet store for my 10 gallon tank and i was wondering how many i should get and how i can tell the gender because i dont want to have babies. Also, what type of food should i get and good brands would be nice.

i have emerald cories in my sorority more then 3 should be good i have 2, but i am trying get more. As for babies they eat there eggs, its hard to tell the differents between a male and female i read that females can't lay flat on there stomach you would have to read some more on that tho. I feed mine Aquarian, algae eater algae chips, i had something before and it made my water all cloudy. Hope this helped alittle.

Peppered cories are great! I would get at least 4, this makes them much more active and bold. They like algea wafers, bloodworms, and catfish pellets. Don't worry about breeding, they (and the betta!) will eat the eggs! Brands of food don't matter much, most catfish foods and algea wafers will do. Make sure you have sand or very rounded gravel. Their whiskers can get easily cut off!
