Talking New home for Comet!

An hour ago I put little Comet into a new 2.0 gallon tank. His old bowl was 0.6 gallon(s)... so I decided I needed to upgrade. I got the tank put together, turned on the filter and the lamp and put him in. I have a Topfin Aqua Scene Desktop aquarium. I also got new gravel, since the ones in his bowl were really sharp, as I was told by some of the members on here. I got dark blue flat marbles to put in there, I got a new plastic plant, and he loves it! I just wanted to share some pictures.. Oh! I have a question. When should I do a water change? (I put new water in there today. :))

Best regards,
Comet's Owner

Very nice upgrade! You should make water changes twice a week. You have conditoner right? If not you will need to get some. Aquasafe and Prime are great brands. Those marbles aren't that sharp they just look that way. You can add a few to your tank if you want. If they were sharp your betta's fins would've already been cut. Plus I've touched them at walmart and I know they're not.

Water changes that often in a tank that size seem a little extreme. Partial daily water changes are excellent, and you won't have to clean the tank as much. I'd do 10-20% daily, and clean the tank fully once every 3 weeks. :)

Looks good! He seems to be happy about his new home too.

For 2 gallons, I always did a 50% water change and a 100% water change weekly.

Also, you can add an extra few inches of water in that tank if you wanted to and give him some more swimming room.

Thanks! I just got freeze-dried bloodworms and he's not eating them, probably because:

A. He doesn't like to be fed with tweezers
B. He's full
C. He doesn't like them

:3 Lets hope he likes them but he's full... I don't want them to go to waste. I'll try them again tommorow.
