Tank Emergency!!!!!

I know this is not a disease. I posted in the habitat forum but no answer and this is really important and could possibly be dangerous to my fish. Please forgive me for posting here. I was doing a 100% water change on my 2 gal. acrylic hex tank. I was almost done and I was filling it up with water when it slipped. I dropped the tank into the bathtub maybe only a foot. It landed right side up and I was phew! Then I saw about an 1 inch vertical crack. And of course the water began leaking out. I get paid in a few days so I can get a new tank then. But until then mako will have to live in a small vase (it's all I had). it's pretty cold here at night. I put his heater in with him. My question is will he be ok in such a small smace with a heater? The vase is maybe 1/2 a gal. Luckily he is very small. The heater is for a 2-15 gal tank. Will he be ok for a few days until I get his new tank?

if you have any large rubbermaid tubs, that'll work fine. i'd go to walmart, get one of the two gallon sterilte bins(they're less than ten bucks for the bin and lid). it's useful for a temp. tank, and it's wonderful for storage, too!
