Question Can anyone describe a bubble nest?

New betta, past two have perished quickly. This one seems to have blown a bubble nest? On the top of the water about an 1/8 inch thickness is a circle with a diameter of bubbles. Just normal or bubble nest? Just wondering

Totally a bubble nest. It means that your betta is happy, healthy, and wants to mate. :)

Be sure to check your ammonia levels in the tank. Change your water frequently (50% water change every other day) if you have ammonia build up. That's probably what made the other fish sick.

I never saw the others eat, but this one seems to like bloodworms, and I got some Aqueon Betta pellets, which seem smaller than the first.

While we're talking about bubblenests...
Can they make very tiny bubbles in a very thing lined nest?
I found that today on the edge of the tank, with some around the filter baffle too (which i just added last night)

is that a bubble nest?
they are VERY SMALL bubbles, but there are lots, considering how small they are.

Yes Peaches its a nest only it fanned out because there wasn't enything to hold its shape back like a floating plant and such. Herb often has a nest that spans the length of the intire tank lol.
