To be honest, I cant tell anything from the picture. Im assuming youre talking about on his head? It just looks like scales..

Hmm.. Im not really seeing it as whiteish as ich would be.. You say he's covered in mucus/algae?

Ya. It's seems to be getting better tho. I raised the temp in the tank a bit and put in some meds. Currently at work so not sure of the exact name of medication.

Hmm. That's good that it's starting to get better, what ever it is.
Make sure you take the carbon out of your filter (if you run it) while running the medicine's course, or else the carbon will take the medicine out of the water.
If its ich, or at least you think it is, you need to wait til the ich falls off the fish, then swims around looking for a host before the medicine will work. Maybe in a day or two, take all the decor and substrate out and rinse it in scalding/boiling water. Itll disinfect it. Do it for a few days.
If not ich, then I wouldnt know what to do/how to treat it :c

Any update on your betta? Mine has the same thing atm. Can you get me the name of the medication you used?

Actually yes. Sorry I didn't repost an update. My bettas way better. The ick is gone. I raised the temp a few degrees and used Mardels Coppersafe. Seemed to work really well. I hope you get the same results. :)
