Fin Rot

After looking at pictures online, I'm sure my betta is in the early stages of fin rot. Can you guys tell me if there is a solution to this?

If needed: My tank is the following
Filtered 5 gallon
2 live plants, 8-9 Ghost shrimp.
Water temp 78-81 degrees

How much and how often are the water changes....

For early stages of fin rot-the best medication is fresh, clean, dechlorinated water from lots of water changes...I would start 50% water changes daily for several days and then add a couple of extra water only changes for a couple of weeks to you regular weekly water change....

If it starts to get worse or he has any changes in behavior you may want to do a 10 day aquarium salt 1tsp/gal treatment in QT container floated in the heated tank with 100% daily water changes....usually increase of water changes on the main tank will take care of early stages of fin rot...

Its important to find the cause of fin rot too.....and fix that....
