Question heat shock :x

The water I put Moses in was too warm and he seems to have gone into heat shock. He was swimming frantically and then was completely upside down. we moved him into a cup with a better water temperature, and now he just looks like his breathing is shallow. His bowl is ready for him, but I just want to make sure I put him in at the right time, etc.
So, should I just let him calm down for a few and then put him back in after acclimating him?

Let him calm down before you add him to the tank and be sure and do a slow acclimation by adding small amounts of tank water to the fish in the small QT container....really important to get a thermometer and check the temps...too high or too low temp shock can sometimes kill the fish...also...make sure you used enough dechlorinater......this is easily forgotten sometimes.....

Good luck.....

Always make sure that the water you put your fish in is within a few degrees of its previous water.

Glad to know he is doing well!
