New Boy

This is my new boy after Indigo died, he has a nice dark body with peach/manilla color fins, very different from the other ones my LFS had.
So, does it look like this is fin rot on his tail?
And...what type do you think he is and can you recommend any names? Thanks!
I took these as he was acclimating in his bag.

He actually has some blue on the top edge of his body and part of his eyes.

That isn't fin rot, it is his natural colour! He's gorgeous!

Hmm I'd say he's either a chocolate (which isn't technically a color lol) or mustard gas.

When I first set eyes on him, my first thought was mustard gas, but I don't think he's a pure one if he was an mg. The guy in the little aquarium store had him free swimming in his shallow tank that he keeps the other bettas in, in holding cups. Must have been letting him out of the cup to stretch his fins I imagine.
I wonder if his color will change as he settles down here, will post if they do.

If anything he'll probably get more vibrant! His body might turn a beautiful blue :) Only time and care will tell lol. He's pretty now though for sure! Uh name suggestion... Dusk. Cuz he looks like a sunset.
