Hi All,

I finally got my 5 gallon a couple weeks ago for my male betta! It has been up and running for a little over a week now. I'm doing a fishless cycle with ammonia. Today's water parameters are Ammonia 4.0 Nitrite 5.0 and Nirtrate around 20. Woohoo!

Congrats! Setting up new tanks is always exciting. Lovely tank, too, saw it in your album :) I'm sure your betta loves his new home.

Well, he's not quite there yet. The pictures I have up are his cycled 1 gallon. I haven't posted pics of his 5 gallon yet. It's still not ready for him. He will be happy once it is though! Today's parameters before adding more ammonia was: ammonia 1.0 nitrite 5.0 and nitrate 160!!! We're almost there!

Oh, seriously? It looks bigger than a one gal, IMO! XD I didn't take a close look though, that's why I made that dumb mistake.

Still, he's gonna love his new tank.

Haha. No not dumb at all! Someone else thought the same thing. It was dumb of me to have him in the 1 gallon to start with! I wanted a 10 gallon for him but I didn't have too much room to start with. I've grown attached to the 1 gallon though. I think I'm gonna keep it as a little snail home or maybe a ghost shrimp or two.
