Big Storm this week

Are any of you being affected/ going to be affected by this storm? I could get quite a bit of snow out of this one.

Tonight: A chance of snow after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 11. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tuesday: Snow. High near 25. Calm wind becoming north around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Tuesday Night: Snow before 1am, then snow and sleet. Low around 21. Light north wind. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday: Snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 10am, then freezing rain and sleet. High near 32. Calm wind becoming north between 4 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: Snow likely, mainly before 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 12. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Friday Night: A chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday: A slight chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 47. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 32.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52.

Are you sure ChicagoPete?
My hometown and family still live up by Rockford and I was just sent an email that said 12-18" of snow. That's what I've heard all weekend too.

I'm supposed to get 12" here at my school.

OhHH SHEEEoooTttttt Im gunna keep a watch on the weather channel on tv and see what they say.. Rockford I beleve is an hour or two away from Des Plaines.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW... SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TUESDAY TO 6 AM EST THURSDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* LOCATIONS: SOUTHEAST CATSKILLS... MID HUDSON VALLEY AND NORTHWESTERN CONNECTICUT.

* HAZARDS: HEAVY SNOW... SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN.

* ACCUMULATIONS: SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ON TUESDAY 4 TO 8 INCHES... FOLLOWED BY LITTLE SNOW ACCUMULATION TUESDAY EVENING... AND ANOTHER 2 TO 6 INCHES LATE TUESDAY NIGHT. SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS ON WEDNESDAY ARE EXPECTED TO BE 2 TO 6 INCHES WITH A TENTH TO A THIRD OF AN INCH OF ICE... FOLLOWED BY AN ADDITIONAL INCH OF SNOW WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
