Finally, I have had him for well over a week. I was keeping him at home in a QT tank while I waited for my tank at work to finish cycling. Finally I got the readings I felt comfortable with yesterday. I had to run out and buy a new heater because the pre-set heater I was using sucked. I wanted 80 degrees stable so I had to pay for an adjustable.

He seems really happy. Every time I would turn to check on him he has been swimming around happily.

The tank is a 3 gallon all glass Picotope. All the plants are real down to the mini marimo moss balls.







Don't pay mind to the pH or the ammonia alerts in the back. Both levels are fine. I have an API that I use on the tank. The iPhone does not have a flash and it looks much darker than it really is. Plus his little plastic tank cover has a film on it still which darkens it even more.

Thank you! Max was an Aquabid purchase from a breeder who is a forum member. I loved the colors in the pictures and decided to pull the trigger and buy him and could not have been more happy. He is a milky white with green/blue, it depends on the light angle which is really neat. Being a youngster his colors are still evolving and the white is giving way to some orange now. I know the water and the food come in to play as well but I have exchanged emails with the Chard56 (the breeder) and the siblings also display the same characteristics.

He has a wonderful temperament too. Over the few weeks that I have had him he has acclimated nicely. Even with the travel involved he did not seem phased.

The nano marimo I bought on eBay, they took a couple of weeks but I am happy overall with the purchase. Aquatic Magic was the seller if anyone was interested.
