My 3 Lovely Boys

I lurked around for a while and then joined. I've been posting for about 2 weeks now but haven't posted the pictures of my boys! Some of these are old, and are from when I was temporarily living with my boyfriend, so two of them were in half gallon tanks and my biggest boy was in a one-gallon. Since then the biggest has been moved to a 2.5 and the other 2 are in 1 gallons. I just bought a 10-gallon kit today with aspirations to divide it, but it will take a week or so to get that taken care of.

Edwin flaring. When I got him, his anal fin had a horrible gash in it, it's like an inverted V. It's still there, but not as bad.



This is Maximus (aka Bob) flaring. His tail came half gone, it's grown in pretty well, now. I bought him for my boyfriend because he likes the blue bettas. He named him something very un-PC, so his alias was Bob and I recently renamed him Maximus:

Those are my boys. Once I get the 10 gallon all set up, I'll post more pictures. My boyfriend will be helping me divide it, I think his just wants a project, haha.

Thank you! Cheep-Cheep is my baby, and such an attention hog. He's the one that always greets me when I come in the apartment. Edwin was shy and didn't like eating when we watched him, so we had to feed him and then look away and you'd hear the splash and the pellet would be gone and he would be hiding again. Maximus hasn't really warmed up to me, yet, but whenever my boyfriend comes over, Maximus gets all excited because my boyfriend was the one that always fed him when I lived with him.

Haha, that's cute :) I'm sure it'll be fun once you get the 10 gallon set up. I have three of my boys divided in one already. And I'm usually into a much more natural look, but I really like those red marbles in the bowl with Maximus. I bet they compliment him nicely :D

Cheep Cheep's gotta be my fav though! <3 I've NEVER seen a light bodied, blue splotched/blue dalmatian before! :D <3 He's GORGEOUS!!! <3

@appledust: I like the marble-like rocks because they are easy to clean and stay smooth. I also put the colors that will compliment the fish in that fish's tank or make the fish stand out (red and blue in Cheep-Cheep's). I find the natural-looking substrate doesn't seem to get as clean as I like.

@wallywest: Thank you! His color is a lot more purple/blue in person. I'll have to see if I can get better pictures. And yes, those are now your friends in fish form! I am not offended, at all. ^_^
