Paradise fish are the grandaddy of all aquarium fish and a single paradisefish male would do very well in a 10 gallon tank. I used to breed paradise fish and they are very tough fish that are a great choice for beginners. The albino paradisefish is quite attractive, IMO. They are also available in vivid blue/orange and solid black.

Mollies school too...... Gourami's and paradise fish are both bubblenesters and air breathers with tons of personality, just like bettas!

Try Silver, common, or marbled hatchetfish. They are great fish!
