What I just bought :D

I found the site bobstropicalplants.com on this site while I was looking around for live plants :D Ive been meaning to switch to more live in my tank while it cycles.

I needed cheapish plants, and woot! Theyre not bad here (shippings a little highish, but mehh) :B

I got two anachairs (sprigs?) for two bucks, java fern, and a small ribbonwood branch to put in there and tether my anubias and Java fern to :D

I also bought an olive nerite snail, Ive been advised not to get anything but shirmp or snails as tankmates, and that they were good ones! :D I got him a heat pack too, yay :3

A question-

What's a good way to tether plants to wood? Can I glue them(LOL, hear dof it..) or should I use string?

Also, does anyone else have a Marineland 5gal hex? I do, but it doesnt have flouresant lights! Its incandesant (I think) and HAS to be tubular in shape and under 15w. I really want a flouresant, though, bleh! D: Any advice on that?

Check to see in a CFL will fit in there. I didn't think a CFL would fit in my 5 gallon rectangular hood but it did! =] You never know until you try!

If one fits then I'll post more information on lighting. =]

i have the marine land 5 gal hex too. you can buy other lights that fit in it. try petsmart but i saw them real cheap at walmart
