New Betta Owner!

I am a newbie here, I've been lurking (lol) around reading and reseaching here on your forum for the last few weeks. I have 2 males a double tail and a veil tail (which belongs to my 3 year old). I have found all kinds of awesome info here (Petco and PetSmart left more to be desired obviously). Now onto my question, is there any way to tell a Betta's age? Our Veil Tail is probably 3 inches long from tip to tail, the double tail is probably 1 1/2 inches. Just curious really.

Welcome to the forum :D

Unfortunately, it'd be hard to tell. Bettas could possibly be 6 months up to a year old when you buy them.

Welcome to the forum...glad you decided to join....and as JKfish posted...its hard to say.....and I agree generally they are about 6mo-1yr of age in most of the box type pet shops...sometimes younger.....love to see some pic of your Bettas and setups as well as hear more about them...

Its always nice to hear about a parent getting their child involved in the joys of wet-pets...they can have so much fun watching them and helping with the care even at a young age....kudos to you....
