I have a leaf hammock! lol But Captain Bubblesworth is using it right now. I'll probably get more.

You should! I make my own, but I'm sure the store bought ones are just as good.

I was just thinking about making my own. I figure that's the cheaper way. Do you just buy plastic leaves and suction cups?

The thread used to be a sticky a few months back... that's how long I've been away from the community LOL!
It's very easy to get straight, I thought it would be a chanllenge. You just stick the tape to the top edge of the tank, unroll some tape and let it hang down straight, then you run your finger over the tape and VOILA! It's straight! The edges are not as easy but still a great look.
Anyway, here's how mine looks with the tape covering the divider stabilizers

I just sew silk leaves to suction cups. Make sure you use a sturdy needle, or it will bend.

vilmarisv - That looks awesome! Very clean cut. I'm gonna have to try that.

Sweeda - I'm not the best at sewing, but I'll probably give it a shot. :P

Cool. I just used leaves from craft store plants. No metal.

So the craft store plants have been safe to use? I might just cut up some silk plants I have that aren't being used at the moment.

You could also buy suction cups, a silk plant with thick stems somewhere on the plant and some aquarium silicone.

Fold the leaf in half and cut two small slits.

Cut some of the thick stem (wherever it may be on the plant) into a long enough section to go through both slits and fit into the divider.

Dab some silicone onto the end of the stem and stick it into the suction cup.

Then you wait however long it takes to dry.

Then add some silicone to the outside around the base of the stem and suction cup for added stability.

slip the stem through the leaf and you've got a hammock. =]

I haven't done it myself yet but it's a project I'm planning for summer when I have more time. =]

Oh and make sure there's no metal in your stem. ;]
