Oh sorry, I thought you said you were getting a 20g full of goldfish. Any plastic plant, given it's sterilized (you can do this by soaking them in 1 part bleach, 20 parts hot water) will be fine. In fact, plastic plants are some of the only plants that will survive in a goldfish tank.

Watch the cories as the goldfish get bigger. Goldfish have been known to try and swallow them, which is when the cory sticks its spines out in defense, choking the goldfish to death.

I know this is a really stupud question, but how exactly do you wash the plants? Like just let them sit, scrub them? And will the bleach take all the colour out of them?
