What do I feed this little guy?

Ok, I went to Petco in a search for aquarium sponge to baffle my filter the other day.(got it! works way betta than the bottle ;) )
But I saw this little cutie while I was there, and since I had a 2 dollar off coupon, he was 99 cents.

The only problem is, he is the smallest betta I have ever seen, seriously, Cleo is 3x bigger than him! His little mouth is too small for the pellets. He tried to eat one but it just bounced around the top of the water and eventually he gave up on the pellets. I tried flakes but he only ate one little bite of the flake after it had sunk to the bottom. I have had him for 2 1/2 days and I haven't really seen him eat anything more than a nip at the flake. What should I try to feed this little guy?

If your pellets are too big try crushing them. He's gorgeous!!

Oh my GAWD, he's so beautiful! Congrats on him being so young.

I would put some regular betta pellets in a sturdy plastic baggy, and then crush them up to a suitable size, using a hammer or what have you.

I'm so excited for you! What a deal you got!!!

What a pretty fish! I've found Aqueon pellets to be a little smaller than most others I've used, but the downside to them is that they don't float for very long.

Thanks you all! crushing the pellets seemed to work, he didn't eat a lot but he is a tiny little guy and i'm sure i'm just used to cleo..he is a piggy. haha
I will try to find some Aqueon pellets, or some smaller pellets when I can get back up to the pet store.
My nephew thought I should name this little guy Batman, and so I will.

Since when does Batman wear fushia? Catwoman doesn't even wear fushia! LOL!!! :D

It's a great name, nevertheless! How old is your fish-naming nephew?

The name is silly for sure.
When my dad got home from work the day I got batman I asked him, " have you seen batman?"
and there was a long pause and a ......no?.....

I had to explain!
