I think I just killed Geddy..

Please I dont know what happened, I was changing his water and cleaning his tank like normal. I put everything back and put in his new heater I bought him. Lastly I put him in and he just went spastic and swimming in every direction, upside down and falling to the bottom and going fast. I knew he was in distress and tried to get him out but he was just going to fast and the net was catchign on to the stupid heater suction cups. By the time I got him out he just wont move and is on his side. Im like a wreck right now. I dont know what I did wrong..

Did you add enough dechlorinator and check the water temp with a thermometer as well as acclimate him to the new water?

Get a fresh container of water and add some extra dechlorinator...make sure it is not too hot or cold....place in a dim lit area...

I think the water was too warm, he wasnt used to the 80 degree water and I just put him in it. Thank you though..

It could have been temperature shock or maybe you forgot dechlorinator... These things happen, sorry for your loss!

I did add the dechlorinator, and Im almost positive it was temperature shock. Thank you though.

And yes he is dead. :(
