My Tanks pH id too high

I tested the pH of my tank and it read over 7.6. I have a bottle of pH down but I don't know if I should lower the pH quickly or do it slowly over time. Any suggestions?

Betta don't really care about pH as long as it stays constant. You'll do a whole lot more damage trying to change it than just letting him get used to whatever you have now. My bettas are more than happy in water that tests around 8.2 some days. OldFishLady has well water that runs around 8.4 or higher if I remember right.

Welcome to the forum, by the way!

Yeah, dont worry about it! I freaked out too when I got my fish, but then I learned that the fish adjust to it if you acclimate them right, so it's all good ^^
