Hey y'all! I haven't been back in almost a whole year! How is everyone??
Life's kept me craaaazy busy but Cinder keeps me sane and so all is well!
An updated pic, for y'all pic-happy folks:
Cinder says, "rawr" and half-flares at you.
Also! Cinder has a neighbor!
His name is
Captain Davy Anchor Stillwater; he's a green spotted puffer fish
(though no pics of him because he's SO hard to get a decent picture of. Cinder at least likes photo sessions with my phone). Davy was gifted to me last June for my birthday-- and BOY did I have a lot to learn about these funny fish!
They're high-maintenance but well-worth the trouble!
It's so interesting how opposite in personality Cinder and Davy are. Davy can be shy, but he'll play hide-and-seek with you and Cinder is more like, PAY ATTENTION TO ME! LOVE ME! YOU! HUMAN! NOW!!!!!"
And may I also add that I have now seen a fish "sleep-swimming". I was up late one night with just the living room lamp on. Cinder had already gone to sleep in his plant. When I got up to get a glass of water from the kitchen, I flicked the kitchen light on and Cinder started swimming--er, started falling off his plant!
He righted himself, looked at me to see if I was going to do anything, then went back to sleep on his castle-- and then sort of half-swam, half-wiggled to his other plant, then tried sleeping on the floor of his tank... I mean seriously he was just NOT awake.
The next morning, of course, he was cranky and moving around quite normally.
