What the...?!

I found this on craigslist, and it makes me sick. This person has been keeping their "collection" of ball pythons in tiny drawers! Poor things.

Isn't that how breeders and the like keep their snakes?

I don't know, but wouldn't that pretty much be a sucky life for them?

Really? Having a snake in a little drawer where it can't move around doesn't look "too bad"?! I don't get it...

It's really not as bad as it looks. Snakes like that really aren't extremely active and they mostly sit around all day anyhow. As long as they are fed, watered, and kept clean I really don't see any issues with it. It's like betta breeders keeping bettas in smaller containers as they don't have the space or money to have larger tanks.

We'll have to ask our snake expert, CodeRed about this.
