Tankmate Help?

So I have a 2.5 gal planted tank housing my CT betta male and I'd like to get him a tankmate or two. I've been thinking about either ghost shrimp, trapdoor snails, or an african dwarf frog, but I'd like to hear your opinions on the matter. =)

Poor Riemman looks so tiny in his 2.5 gal tank, and even though he loves it - he swims around EVERYWHERE - he still looks kinda lonely. His tank is too far from Josselin's bowl so he's lost his buddy to flare at. D:

If I were you I'd go with the ghost shrimp if it is cycled... Bettas have a tendancy to harass snails lol.

Snails or shrimp, not the frogs. Cherry shrimp, ghost shrimp, blueberry shrimp, crystal red shrimp.......

Thanks for the suggestions. =) I have some trapdoor snails coming in, but they're still babies, so I think I'll keep them in their own tank for the moment until they get bigger. Then maybe I might try to introduce one.

But I'll definitely go for the ghost shrimp. I was kind of leaning that way in the first place, but I did want an outside opinion. =P

Just a warning: bettas sometimes eat shrimp. Having lots of plants and hiding places can help prevent it, but especially in such a small tank, it is a possibility.

Yeah, I keep hearing such stories. D= I'll definitely make sure to keep an eye on them. If all else fails, I might just end up making a shrimp and snail tank. =\
