he's a darling. trying to explore, but can't cause of his bloat. i haven't fed him at all since getting him, hoping that'll help his floaty.

where can i get that daphnia?

I got mine (freeze dried, Hikari brand, I believe) from Pet Supplies Plus. I didn't find any at Petsmart or Petco, but if you don't have a PSP nearby it couldn't hurt to call and see if Petsmart or Petco stores near you have it. You could also try local fish stores.

xD Petsmart AND Petco are both an hour or more away from me. i'll call Pet Lover's and see if they carry it. how do you pronounce it? o.0 i dun wanna sound stupid on the phone with them. xD

I'm not sure how it's supposed to be pronounced, I've only seen it in print, not heard it. I say daf-knee-uh (emphasis on the first syllable) but I don't know if that's right XD

Yeah, I would recommend calling around if you don't have anywhere super close since it's not something you can necessarily find everywhere.

But I highly recommend it if you can find it; it is something a carnivorous fish would naturally eat, which is one of the reasons some people aren't crazy about feeding peas. They are super tiny and look like dust! I just feed a small pinch with tweezers, and then I use one of those baby snot sucker things to suck up what she doesn't eat in one or two bites.
