Unhappy oh, no! D:

so, Remy's been really active lately, which gave me hope that he's gonna make it. he's swimming alot more, and pooped! but, i noticed this.... stuff on a wound on his side. reminds me of dead skin, or your skin after soaking a cut in salt water. OFL suggested upping the dosage of salt i use, lowering the temp in case it's flexibacteria, so i did a water change, and mixed a salt-water solution following those directions. i've been adding the salt solution over the course of the last 30 minutes or so, but suddenly, i notice some.... stringy clear-ish stuff on his belly, right in front of his ventrils. D: what the world is that? Dx it's gross-looking, and i've never, in my life, seen anything like this. D: it almost looks like... it's coming out of his gill? D: what the world? i wish i could get a pic, but my sister took the camera to a birthday party with my niece. ;A; poor Remy. i really thought things were looking up! i can't go get any meds, and all i have on hand are Jungle Parasite tablets, Tetra Ick tabs, and aquarium salt. what could that be? is there anything i can do, to save Remy?

I don't really think u should be adding aquarium salt directly to the tank. When ever I here someone use it. They pre mix it to gallon jugs and let it adjust in them before doing a complete 100% change in a QT container floating your guy in the main tank. Another thing DONT use the Tetra Ick Tabs. They suck and do nothing but turn your hole tank blue and everything in it perminintly.... As for the slime it could be access slime coat from adding tomuch of something. Herb had some on him this morning and after I did a 90% water change it was gone.

i mix the salt in a cup of water, then add a bit of the water every.... eehh... roughly 20-30 minutes. xX

they got rid of Cup and lulu's ick, when they got it. >.>; it did turn the water blue, though, but it rinsed out of Lulu's pink plant just fine.
