Here's some pictures of Penfold now that he's out of the blue cup. His fins are actually peach (not white like I thought), and when he swims into a sunny spot, he shimmers and glows all blue-green!

Thanks, Fire. I wasn't sure what color he was when I got him because of the blue water, I thought maybe he was silver and white, so I'm really happy that he turned out so pretty.
beautiful. my fish range from blue-red-purple to yellows, metalic coppers(silvers, purples and blues) and blues and whites. spongebobs got iridescent blue streaks through his tail, Louies tail ranges from see through to iridescent blue and aqua depending on his mood

Thank you for your comment! The way you described your bettas is so beautiful, I went and checked out your photo album - they are gorgeous!
He looks like a delta version of my new CT Jinhai, only he has more green on his body. Betta colours are so fascinating, aren't they?
Betta colors are amazing! I had no idea that Bettas came in so many colors and fin shapes until I found this board. I had mostly only seen solid blue or red VTs at the pet store; I thought that was it.
Penfold's fins are starting to change color, though - the silver parts have gotten a lot darker already, I've had him for less than a week, and they're almost black now, and the pale silver is starting to replace the peach in his fins.
lol, the reason I have Penfold's tail listed as "Delta/Half Moon" is because he was sold to me at the store as a Half Moon, and he's still a juvie, he's only 1" long. But his tail does look more Delta at the moment, but I've been told he's still young enough that he may grow into the HM?
