Unhappy Need help identifying fungus :(

So for maybe a week or so i have noticed this gray splotch on Crooks' face and I dont know if it is a fungus, bacterial infection, or just a part of his face. It is right near the tip of his face by his mouth. Please let me know what you guys think it could be and if need be, what i need to do to cure it. He lives in a divided 10 gal tank with another male betta (on the other side of course) that is in the process of cycling. I do 2 50% water changes a week. Ammonia levels are between 0 and .25. My tank is heated at exactly 78 degrees. Crooks' attitude hasnt changed at all since i noticed the splotch. His eating habits are normal and even now he is working hard on a nice bubble nest. Here are a few pictures of his face. Sorry if they are a little big.

Could be injuries from rubbing his face on the divider while flaring at the other male.
Whatever it may be, you might want to QT him. Considering that, if it is fungus, it can infect your other Betta.

Then maybe he really did just rub his face a little to hard on the divider or something. As long as it is not spreading or looking fuzzy, then he should be fine. :)

~poke~ if one fish in the tank has a fungus, the whole tank has it. I had a pair of new Deep Blue 2gal that had fungus from original manufacture once...

It looks to me like something that's already healed, I've also seen those appear. How's the surface agitation of the water on both sides?
