Just an Idea... but..

So my brother has been doing a really interesting Senior project, and it's gotten me thinking on what I plan on doing once I become a senior. Because most kids choose easy careers to keep their work load to a minimum, I think it would be fun to try betta breeding since that is a bit different than the typical ideas.

Lol, I've got a lot of time to prepare seeing as I have to get through the rest of this year and junior year before I become a senior, but it's never to early to start researching and making and saving up money to get a good pair and a good set up. Are there any sites you'd recomend that I can read to get a better understanding of betta genetics and line breeding? I'll look at the IBC later on, and I've already read through most of www.bettysplendens.com , but I'm sure there are more sites out there.

www.bettatalk.com (of course).

My site (not sure if it's good but I have an article on breeding)

www.flippersandfins.net

www.waynesthisandthat.com (scroll down to hobbies and click "Bettas")

The group really isn't active any more but until you join the IBC (if you choose to do so) you can join GABBA and ask questions of breeders who've been breeding for decades (quite literally.. I think one of them has been breeding since the 70s).

There's also a breeders forum but it would be against forum rules to link it here.

thanks Mr.Vamp :) all the sites are awesome, and your breeding article is really nice.
I'm imagining my set up and supplies as slightly different than yours, but the same general concept. :)

Thanks again 1F2F :D That looks awesome~
