3/4 cup chopped celery
2 tablespoons butter or stick margarine
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 (14.5 ounce) cans fat free reduced sodium chicken broth
2 cups instant rice
1 cup cubed cooked chicken
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
A dash of Season Salt if desired
1 cup 1% milk
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon white wine(This was in original, I omitted due to being still 20, but you can try)

In a large saucepan, saute the carrot, onion and celery in butter until tender. Stir in flour until blended. Gradually stir in broth. Add the rice, chicken, salt, pepper and garlic powder; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Reduce heat to low. Stir in the milk, lemon juice and wine if desired. Cook and stir for 5 minutes or until heated through.
Mmm that sounds delicious! Aside from the celary and wine I so am gonna show my mom this recipe so we can try it.

I know you didn't and the thing is with celery my mom and I just can't stand the texture of it. We love the taste of celery seeds and celery salt but we can't stand the actual vegetable for some reason.

That's like me with tomatoes. I'll eat ketchup and salsa and tomato soup but I take them off of my sandwiches and hamburgers.

*bump gladly bumps this thread*

I got a new recipe for an awesome sandwich.

Ingrediants:

Two pieces of bread.

Cherry preserves.

Cream cheese.

Spread both on it and enjoy. It's pretty simple but really-super light and really yummy. The flavors are incredible. My mom, my BFF and I had it during High Tea the other day.

MMMM!! Soundsd good!

We make a spread with cream cheese, crushed pineapple and chopped pecans. It's good, too.
